Northumbria Larder
Northumbria Larder is the regional Food & Drink group for North East England. It is a group of fine food and drink producers of the region from the Scottish Border, through Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham and Tees Valley. Northumbria Larder’s aim is to support its members to produce the finest food and drink the region can offer for local, national and international consumption.
Assured British Meat
ABM aim to maintain and develop credible standards within the red meat industry covering food safety, animal welfare and environmental protection and to promote integrated beef and lamb assurance to provide consumers and retailers with confidence about product safety
ABM, in consultation with industry, set the beef and lamb assurance standards through the whole chain including farm, livestock transport, markets and abattoirs. ABM represents assured members to Defra, FSA, LACORS, industry trade associations and other independent bodies.
Red Tractor
The Red Tractor scheme is the firmest guarantee that food can be traced right back to the farms from which it came – an assurance that is backed up by regular traceback inspections.
There are over 78,000 members of the scheme, all committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene, animal welfare and environmental protection.Quality Standard Mark
The Quality Standard Mark for beef and lamb is a scheme that provides you with high levels of assurance about the meat you buy. It is the only beef and lamb scheme in the UK to cover eating quality. All beef and lamb carrying the Mark is chosen according to a strict selection process to ensure it is succulent and tender. Quality Standard beef and lamb is produced to higher standards than required by law with a supply chain, which is fully assured and independently inspected at every stage from farm to meat counter.
EU-EC Approved
Our facilities are approved as a UK cutting plant by the European Union (EU) and Food Standards Agency (FSA. Accreditation is controlled, enforced and executed by the Meat Hygiene Service (MHS)). Our licence registration number is UK2475EC.
